Kyosho Gee Bee "Z" .40 size ARF
Super Tiger G-61 engine, APC 13x8 prop, JR 517 servos, JR R600 receiver.
Crashed. I had just taken off and was about 50 feet up when I
totally lost control
of the radio system. Luckily the plane was in a slight turn and was keeping altitude
nicely
running at full throttle. A few times around we thought it was going to hit the
pits, but it
never did. With a full tank of gas, I had to watch this thing go around and around
on its
own for 10 minutes, just wondering where it would crash. It ended up in the wetlands
by our field and I couldn't find it after searching for days. A week later our club
President,
Patrick Deuser, walked right to it after I described what happened. Apparently the
crystal
came out of the receiver and that was that.

This is the new Gee Bee Z model from Kyosho. This is a great flying model once
you
get the CG correct. Right now the CG is about an inch and a half from the leading
edge
and it flies perfect. Landing is another story because with a grass runway the wheel
pants
touch first and cause the plane to flip over, but I'm planning on putting on bigger wheels
that will hopefully resolve that problem.
