My Second Top Flite P-51 Mustang

Super Tiger G-90 engine w/13x8 prop, JR8103 radio

Here is the wing so far...got the Ram machine gun module and hooked up some super
bright blue led's in the wings for machine gun effect. This picture was taken
without
the flash on the camera to show just how bright these babies are!

Here's the fuse so far. I'm trying to figure out where to put the
speakers for the machine gun sound...no luck yet.

I made a radiator vent on the belly that operates with the landing gear,
so when the gear is down, it's open, and when the gear goes up, it
closes. The pushrod that connects it is hooked up to the landing
gear air valve servo.

Here is a shot of it connected and open. Of course, it will look much
better when I get the plane finished. I've been toying around with the
idea of mounting a small wireless video camera in the hatch, but not
sure if I want the extra weight of the batteries. I'm already using two
9-volts for the machine gun sound and lights, and four servos in the wing
for flaps and ailerons, and a big 1400mah receiver pack. Not to mention
the weight of the rest of the radio gear and Super Tiger G90 engine, and
two dissassembled computer speakers in the wing for machine gun sounds.

Here it is ready for final sanding! 9/28/00 I hope to have it done
by this next weekend, October 7th because that's our big R/C Expo!

Here I am covering the wing saddle...almost done covering!

Even the belly scoop and cowl are covered in Ultrakote. I was going
to paint them, but couldn't get the chrome paint to match.

Finally finished! 10/6/00...just in time for a test flight in the morning
before our big R/C expo!

Here you can see the flaps extended.
