Welcome to
I was born in Dallas, TX in 1970, the same year that NASA's
Apollo 13 was launched, the
Concorde made
it's first supersonic flight, the
Beatles performed their
last studio session, the Unix
epoch occurred,
Black Sabbath
released their debut album, Nixon was president, and the first
Picturephone debuted.
I have lived in Texas, Kansas, and
Saipan, and touched my first
computer at the age of twelve. My first computer
was a Commodore 64 with
a cassette drive, and that is where my love of computers began. My second
PC was an
IBM Model 5150
with two 5-1/4" floppy drives and had less computing power than today's basic
cell phone. I wrote
several programs on both machines in the Basic programming language and soon
pieced together a real home computer.
It was an Intel 286, 16mhz machine with 4megs of RAM and I was the envy of all
my geek friends. From that point
I was the local computer geek and assembled hundreds of computers for people
over the next several years. I graduated
from Lawrence High School in 1988, and attended
Johnson County Community College, DeVry, and Fort Hays State.
The rest, as they say, is history, but you can get an idea of my
technical abilities by looking over my resume.
I am now happily married, with two kids, and work for a
web development company in Lawrence.
